PEPTAMEN® AF is a moderately high calorie, very high protein, 100% whey, enzymatically hydrolyzed, complete elemental medical food for GI-compromised patients. Featuring a balanced peptide profile, a comprehensive antioxidant system and lipid and fiber blends, PEPTAMEN AF is designed to meet the needs of the highly stressed individual where oxidative stress, inflammation and feeding intolerance are prevalent.
PEPTAMEN AF contains no added arginine and is a formula option for critically ill patients in which high arginine products may not be desirable.
PEPTAMEN AF is available unflavored in 250-mL cans and in a 1000 mL ULTRAPAK® Enteral Closed System, a non-air-dependent closed system shown to reduce set-up time, minimize the potential for bacterial contamination, decrease waste and provide the flexibility of a hang time of up to 48 hours.
PEPTAMEN AF contains ingredients (i.e., partially hydrolyzed whey protein, from cow's milk protein) that may not be appropriate for individuals with food allergies.
